Bassam Lazar

Bassam Lazar is primarily a real estate lawyer in London Ontario, offering services in London, Windsor, Kitchener and surrounding areas.

Bassam Lazar is the founding lawyer of Lazar Law. Bassam graduated from the University of Western in Ontario in 2005 and from the University of Windsor Law in 2009.  Bassam’s primary area of practice in London, Windsor and throughout Ontario is real estate law: this includes residential purchase, sales and mortgage refinancing. Other areas of practice at Lazar Law include commercial real estate, commercial and residential leasing, and certain transactional legal matters.

Aimee J. Fishman, Lawyer

Aimee is focused on delivering client-centric experiences. Aimee’s approach is simple and highly regarded – offer convenience in service, transparency in process and clear, open communication.

Recognizing that her clients are often in need of her services when dealing with a life event such as: buying a home or creating a will, Aimee is committed to providing as much comfort and peace of mind throughout her service, as possible. Her accommodating approach also lends hand to in-home visits, saving her clients from having to make childcare arrangements or juggle schedules to make visits during standard office hours.

Aimee is a proud member of The Law Society of Upper Canada, The Middlesex Law Association and the London Chamber of Commerce.

Madelaine Hofford

Madelaine Hofford


Madelaine Hofford practices primarily in the areas of Real Estate and Estates.

Madelaine was raised in Guelph, Ontario. She concurrently earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors Specialization in Media, Information and Technoculture and Juris Doctor from Western University in 2017 through a combined program. Madelaine was called to the Ontario Bar in June of 2018 after completing her articles at a firm in London, Ontario.  She worked for a local Personal Injury law firm for a number of years before joining Lazar Law.

Madelaine is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association. Madelaine is active in the local community, and has acted as Chair of the OBA’s Young Lawyers Division Southwest Committee. 

In her spare time, Madelaine enjoys swimming, yoga, knitting, and spending time with her rescue dog.

Patrick Pacheco, Paralegal

Patrick Pacheco


Patrick is a licensed Paralegal and Law Clerk in the Province of Ontario. Patrick specializes primarily  in Small Claims Court, Landlord Tenant Board and Provincial Offences. He is passionate about advocating for clients and firmly believes that as a professional, trust is critical. Patrick strives to provide the best possible experience and is dedicated to assisting clients in their time of need.

Patrick was born and raised in London, Ontario. Patrick’s goals, dreams, and aspirations are set not only for him but also for his family. He is a dedicated father to his nine-year-old daughter, and devoted husband to his wife. Patrick also devotes his spare time to his community, as well as engaging in outdoor activities such as playing sports, family bike rides, hikes, and camping.

Reyna Gao, Law Clerk

Reyna is a certified Law Clerk, having obtained her education from Fanshaw College. She Joined Lazar Law in 2021 and has since flourished. She works with all of the lawyers in the office, and manages all types real estate files from beginning to end.

Reyna grew up in China, and incredibly has been in London only since 2018, arriving here with her husband to pursue their Canadian dreams.

Reyna is a former business owner, and her commitment to those she served is demontrated with her impeccalbe servicing of clients. When she’s not working,  Reyna enjoys watching shows, baking, brewing coffee, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.

She is also fluent in Mandarin.

Leila Nery

Legal Assistant and Paralegal

Leila is a certified Paralegal in our office, having graduated from Humber College in 2018. She works on all types of real estate files.

She joined Lazar Law in early 2019 as a legal receptionist, and has flourished since then. 

Leila grew up in Brazil and moved to Canada in 2015 to pursue a better life. Here, she met her husband and welcomed their son at the beginning of 2021.

Leila has legal knowledge from Brazil as a lawyer,  and has amassed vast amount of customer service experience since arriving in Canada. She is focused with assisting clients to ensure a smooth transition from beginning to end.

In her spare time, Leila enjoys spending time with her family and trying new recipes.

Leila also speaks Portuguese and Spanish.

Rebecca Dickerson

Legal Assistant and Receptionist

Rebecca is a Legal Assistant, having graduated from Fanshawe College in 2007. She had worked in a variety of legal fields in law firms before joining Lazar Law in January of 2021 as a legal assitant and receptionist.

Since then, Rebecca has assumed a variety of roles, including assisting everyone in the office with real estate, corporate and Wills and Estates. In all her work, Rebecca ensures a client-focused approach from first point of contact to the final meeting with clients. 

Rebecca enjoys shopping, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. Rebecca also enjoys attending extra-curricular events that her children are involved in.

We take pride in providing real and educational personal services, and have done this proudly in London, Windsor, Kitchener and surrounding areas on behalf of individuals and families.
